Only two days to go and time to reflect on all the hard work and training from the last six months. I feel more prepared this time around and have been more disciplined with the longer training runs so hopefully I'll beat last year's time of 4 hours 56 minutes.
Hopefully the weather will hold up too but won't be quite a hot as it has been this week (sorry folks). Cloudy but mild would be perfect. Last year it was sunny at the start, rained like mad at 9 miles, was sunny at Tower Bridge (12 miles), overcast at the Isle of Dogs (15 miles), then rained before sunshine at Canary Wharf (18 miles), hailed at 20 miles and the sun returned for the final three miles. Only snow was missing that day!
Fund raising has really taken off this week leading up to the big day too. My target is to raise around £1200 for the charity Get Kids Going. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far.
My fund raising website is www.justgiving.com/markkennedy.
